My major project is called "mcU".  I  created a brand identity for a restaurant using national Ukrainian cultural symbolic, cuisine, and clothes. The main idea is to popularise Ukrainian culture through the very famous brand. 

 

Nowadays Ukrainian traditions and national features are becoming more and more popular. So, I want to show you what would happen if McDonald's had been invented in Ukraine. There are some examples of national Ukrainian symbols and patterns.

 

According to my project plan, I started to create a concept using national Ukrainian embroidery. A pattern is made on clothes, towels or other elements by spinning out red, black and sometimes coloured threads. Usually, women try to depict flowers or something. The most famous flower in Ukraine is the red poppy. I used this pattern in the design of my project. First, I created a pattern with the help of squares, and then with the help of a mask, I applied it to the previously created logo. All attention is focused on the letters M and Y, and the line with embroidery is located between them.
